New York Trend is a respected and well recognized news publication that has been in existence since 1989. Owner, Publisher and Executive Director, Dr. Teresa Taylor Williams has been at the helm of this award-winning publication since its inception. Throughout the past 20 years, both Dr. Taylor Williams, various writers and contributing editors and photographers have been recognized and awarded by the most prestigious organizations in the media community.
Dr. Taylor Williams has made numerous television and radio appearances, lectured and participated in award luncheons and dinners as guest speaker.
New York Trend continues to be the only black woman-owned, metropolitan newspaper in New York and Long island. New York Trend is the largest black-owned newspaper throughout Nassau and Suffolk counties.
Dr. Taylor Williams founded New York Trend to provide a voice to the less represented communities in New York that are predominantly African American. The community pages and outreach have remained the primary focus of the editorial content to encourage growth, political awareness, financial savvy, educational advancement, cultural celebration and health and wellness information.
